1000% authentic ( mid to late 1980's era ).  Be careful though, if you find the same pose that's not inscribed, it may possibly be a pre-print.  He used this exact pose for both authentic TTM autographs and Pre-printed responses.

 

If this is the "official" photo, the gloss should be very slick. Thus making the inscription easier to remove if you wanted to.

It is glossy and slick, but I have no idea how to remove anything from a picture.
