How to Remove Silver/Gold Sharpie or Paint Pen From Glossy Photos?

I heard of something called a Prismacolor Blender Pen that was good for removing standard Sharpie, but now I'm looking to do the same with paint and oil-based markers, without damaging the photos. Any ideas?

Try magic rub eraser! But test it first it depends how glossy the photo is if it will damage it.

Is there any other way that doesn't have a "maybe" factor?

What kind of glossy photo are you talking about? Was the photo professionally developed in a photolab or was it printed from a home/office photo printer?

I don;t know; I get all my autographs from conventions, and haven't printed my own yet. When using the Prismacolor Blender Pen on an autograph that had both black and silver Sharpie, I discovered that the Blender also affects the silver, fading it. So, after removing most of the black (there was still a faint outline left), I carefully traced both that and the missing section of silver. Everything matches now, and you'd have to look really close to notice it was fixed. Thankfully, the celebrity signature wasn't touched at all.
