I Mike,

I don't know if you remember me (Scott from California)i used to buy autographs from you back in the 90s

i was doing sitcoms of the 50s & the 60s, I bought alot of Andy Griffith show index cards

(not Howard McNear)

I agree with Mike it does not look right and wonder about the ink.  Was it on an index card or album page?

This is a album page and looks like colored pencil. i've had it 20yrs

Well sometimes collectors used to use colored pencil though many are dark blue .   Of course he had a stroke so not sure if there are exemplars of his signature before and after.
