I'm brand new at this so....My first post. Can anybody give me any information concerning the authenticity of this Rolling Stone Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts autographed LP?

I have had this item for years now.  For so long that I can't even remember the year I got it but it has to have been at least 15 years.  I got it at the very beginning of my autograph hunting and acquiring days and I have never known anything about if they are real or not.  Would anybody know?

RATS!!!!

Wondering if anybody with Rolling Stone signature knowledge could tell me if they are known to sign index cards at all or do they stay away from signing those?

I'm not a big Stones fan or collector, but from what I've learned here, they do or have signed promo cards. BUT... be aware that the band signed each other's names to save on time. So you need to be careful what you're interested in and make sure you post here for inputs first.

Hope this helps, but I know it just confuses things

Sorry, you do have a fake LP there.

I can tell you getting a band fully signed LP is very very difficult. Firstly the band tend to make sure they personalise them if they do them for friends or crew nowadays but because of the personalities involved, one will not sign to be awkward...Keith knows about eBay.

Not the case in the 60's but this happened later in the 70's onwards. The best way to buy their autographs nowadays is to buy them individually.  Bill Wyman does sign index cards and his signed book can be picked up for $50 in the UK as can Ronnie's book. Mick tends to sign EMI promo photos for charities which come back on the market at around $200 plus but beware the many fakes. Keith is more expensive to buy (and easier for the forgers). Charlie tends to sign his own cd's and photos.

Sorry about your LP though - its not the worst forgery out there.

according to the band Charlie is the only one who really always signs for himself

there was an article about that

Charlie will and does sign thru the mail.  I know, I've sent him a few things and within a month or two he signs what you send and returns it.  However....he will personalize anything he signs.  But he's an icon and all it costs us is postage.

Back in the early 70's, when I was married, my wife at the time showed me a 4" Dia. scrap of brown shopping bag paper that had all 5 Stones, including Brian Jones, signatures on.  She told me the story how when they flew into town on their very first obscure tour she met them at the local airport where they came into, their tour was small time and didn't use the big international airport but rather the small county airport, and they signed what must have been a last minute frantic search for a piece of paper for them to sign.  She said they was all very nice except for Brian Jones.  She said he had a filthy mouth.  Should have tried to find a way to get that paper in divorce settlements. But what did I know.  I was so young.
