I need an education on Mantle

I am really trying to understand Mantle signatures. I feel very confident with many baseball superstars that I have studied over the years, but I just cannot wrap my arms around this.

Please take a look at this signature. this is in no way questioning, JSA, PSA, or the seller. Make sure you look at the enlarged photo. The "Mantle" looks spot on. But what about "Mickey"? I have seen many forgeries with that extended loop on the first M, and if you look closely, it looks a little choppy. As do other parts of Mickey. Again, I am really looking for an education here. CEE GEE? anyone?

Here a great examples...FAKES ON THE LEFT....AUTHENTIC ON THE RIGHT...I am not the one that put this together...its something I came across and I think its a really great tool...

CEE GEE, that is pretty cool. some of those forgeries are atrocious, but I can see how some of the others can fool the uneducated (like I was!) thanks for sharing this.

You are right own, read my mind. The elongated and shaky M plus the area of the K where is is gone over again. "Mistakes" like this are very, very unlike Mantle.

Agreed Steve...Mr.Zipper also makes good points as well...not as the usual Mantle auto but no question authentic
