No good IMO, sorry.

Thank you. May I ask what about it makes it no good?

I agree, it is not authentic.

Thank you terrier, Can I possibly get your opinion on this item: Recently purchased a Sandy Koufax ball from a person who claims he received the autograph from Sandy at spring training in FL about 25 years ago. Any help is greatly appreciated

I am not sure about this one.  it has some positives, but also some unusual characteristics, that could be explained by the circumstances at the time.  Maybe he was walking and signing.  Just not sure.

Thank you, I asked the seller the circumstances in which he received the autograph and he said sandy was walking. So whatever that means, I think ill keep the koufax ball.

The mantle ball i will be returning and filing a complaint with Mercari, the gentleman who sold me that ball claims he got it at an auction, I dont believe he knew it was likely forged

Good luck with the return.

Thank you for your help Terrier. Much appreciated!

I agree, the Mantle ball is no good and the Koufax, as mentioned, has some good characteristics and some that are not typical of his signing.  It is true that prior to about 1994, Sandy only signed at spring training, he never did shows and very, very rarely signed.

Thank you very much Steve. Much appreciated. In your estimation, I know it is a close call, given the facts that the ball was reportedly signed by Koufax in Vero Beach, while walking, confirmed by the seller. Would you conclude that this ball is real or fake? Thanks again

I would lean toward this being a legit signature if he was indeed walking when signing.

Thank you very much Steve.
