Is this Fernando Valenzuela autograph real?

I received this in the mail a few days ago after sending it to Mr Fernando Valenzuela's home address. If anyone if familiar with his signature, could you let me know if this is authentic? Thank you in advance.

I have a signed photo from his rookie year and looks very different, but would expect that since it has been 39 years and he was very young at the time.
