Hello everybody. This is my first post here. I collect Presidential and history signatures.

Can you guys take a look at this Richard Nixon and tell me if it is genuine? Its black sharpie on the inside of a book. The book is old but the binding is very tight, as thought it has never been 'cracked' open. This leads me to believe that it is not autopen. I also have not seen an autopen example of "Dick".

Again, thank you so much in advance and I look forward to many conversations on here.

I would say unlikely.  it looks nothing like the D he uses for Dick, in fact, it is an R.

I agree. My only thought is perhaps he had the intention to sign it "Dick" but made the "R" in Richard out of habit. I don't know. I think its 50/50. I'm debating on returning the item or sending to PSA.

tough call

Thank you very much for your opinion! Much appreciated.

My thinking was that this is not authentic. The "Nixon" part looks a bit off to me.
