Nothing like DeNiro's signature

Thanks guys.  I was afraid of this.  Is there no chance at all that this may be authentic?  I purchased this item many years ago along with a few others from an eBay seller as an amateur collector.  It remains to this day to be the only eBay seller that I have ever done business with.  They are also the only pieces in my collection that I have had doubts about.  Isn’t there anything that can be done about these forgers?  I will continue my search for an eBay seller that can be trusted.  Any help on that front will also be appreciated.

Thanks Mike.  I have compared my autograph to others and I always felt that while it did resemble his signature it was just too perfect.  That is what always concerned me.  The reason that I purchased from this seller is that his items were beautifully signed and inexpensive.  Again, I was new to this hobby at the time and that is exactly who these people prey upon.  Mine does resemble his signature but it is just too neat.  It is also possible that some of the samples that I compared it to on Google Images were forgeries.  I'll never know.  The seller also stated that he is a UACC Member.  Now I actually know what that really means.

Hi Mike,

Here are a few sellers on ebay that i really like and everything i have ever bought from them has been authentic. You might want to check them out if you like music items. JG Autographs are a really great company to deal with. They run some great sales each week and decent prices. I also like a seller called BPautographs. He typically doesnt have alot of inventory, and they typically arent on what you would call "choice items" i guess. Some are on magazine pages and things like that, and are often inscribed, but on the plus side they are authentic. These two i have great confidence in, but ill try and think of some others if that would help. but at least its a starting place. I would def compare any of their autographs with known examples though, just to be on the safe side. But they seem to be 2 great sellers. i hope this may lend some assistance.

Thanks Trapper.  I’m actually looking to add some pieces to my modern Hollywood collection of autographs.  I trust my Michael Wehrmann pieces to be authentic but they can get expensive.  I saw a Christian Bale Dark Knight for $400 recently.  For that money I can purchase Bale, Hathaway and possibly even Nolan on eBay but then I have to worry about authenticity and I would rather just have one piece that I can be sure about.  This discussion is proof that you get what you pay for.

Thanks.  Just browsed at their website and they look like the Steiner of the entertainment world.

I'm not an expert, but I'm fairly sure those are his nipples.

I have promised myself that I will never write or text it in an abbreviated form but I have to tell you that when I read that I laughed out loud.
