Is this Steve Perry signature authentic? People are telling me it is not Perry who signed it. Help, please? :)

This signature doesn't appear natural - and smudging the ink like that is never a good idea :( it is considered damage and undesirable. In future you can rule out a preprint just by examining the reflection of the ink in the direct glare of a light bulb. If there is no color change you likely have a preprint.
