The following item came up for auction on ebay today to the tune of $5,000.-   Not authentic in my opinion.  Thoughts?                 Jack...

Yes Paul, it is real. I goofed and was so fixated on that unusual start to the "M" and the oddly sharp second "R". The "SON" portion of the sig and the way the first "O" is started should have been the dead giveaway because it's spot on.           Jack...

It's great to see the rare authentic Morrison signed cut on eBay among the many fakes.

Yes it is Mark, it's one of the very few cut pieces i've seen that is actually authentic...

Sad but true, Jack.
Now the question is.....is 5k a fair asking price?that is check territory.Granted, there has been no checks up for sale in quite a while. If this cut is worth 5k,then imo a signed check has gone up in price.what do you guys think?
I wouldn't pay 5k for that cut.

I wouldn't either. You can get a check for that price...

I hope so Paul H. for our sake.

I agree.this cut is way overpriced. To be honest though,I probably would pay 3k for it.I do wonder when the next check is gonna pop up.Its been a while.Jack I hope so also for our sake that prices have gone up.

I also believe the checks are going up Paul. 3K is the max i would pay for that, but i hate cut pieces.

I doubt prices have gone up on cheques, it hasnt been that long since they were topping the 5k mark.
Prices do seem to be slowly creeping up. I was also thinking $3K or so.
