The following item came up for auction on ebay today to the tune of $5,000.-   Not authentic in my opinion.  Thoughts?                 Jack...

Also you may land a cheque for 3k or a little over, once you blokes decide you own enough morrisons.

The last 3 or 4 checks that sold within the past year or so were all $5,000.- and up including BP. If i saw a JM check for around 3k, i'd buy it in a flash. Bart R. said in another thread he paid 5K for one about 3 years ago. They are slowly getting more and more expensive and much harder to find.           Jack...

This piece will probably end up with one of the eBay flippers, slabbed by PSA and on sale for $7,999 OBO.

You're probably right Mark. But for 8K you could buy a check and a couple nice Doors posters and some unused tickets versus buying that cut piece...

Yes that's what will happen more than likely.

A cheque is worth 5k, but I wouldn't buy one and then pay BP on it.

Should Bp be part of the sellers cost if you won a morrison at auction, that's if you decided to resell and you would have to ask 6k or more.

My 2nd Morrison check i won in the Profiles in History auction hammered at $4,200.- + the BP which came to $5,200.-

I bought mine from a private seller foe 4500.00
Private sellers are the way to roll imo.
But im happy for you guys that own a morrison.
I dont go much on the flippers at all, there not collectors imo, just sharks who will do anything to make a buck.

I'm always happy to pay a little more for a nice set of autographs, but this blue cut of paper doesn't do it for me. Still signed by a great artist.
