Hi, I just started collecting and recently purchased a picture signed by Jennifer Lawrence from "The Hunger Games."  On the back of the picture there is a tamper proof sticker that matches the Certificate of Authenticity.  I just wanted some opinions on whether this is authentic or not.   This autograph is the 2nd one in my growing collection.

It appears to be much more rounded than her typical in-person signature.  Where did you obtain it and what does the tamper proof sticker say?

I purchased it from amazon.com and the sticker says "certified authentic" and has a number on it.  It also is holographic is that means anything..

Thanks!

Kevin Segall created a blog about Amazon’s new Collectibles Division.  If you purchased it there it is supposed to be closely monitored but I am not sure what their screening process is.  If you did not purchase it through their Collectibles Division and simply purchased it on Amazon from a seller it was probably not screened and that would concern me.  The hologram is only as good as the dealer issuing it.  Anyone can issue a matching hologram.  Here is a link to the blog if you want to ask Kevin about it.

Thank you very much.  I just posted the question and will wait to hear a response. Thanks for your help!

I got Jennifer this year while she was in town promoting The Hunger Games.  This looks OK to me.  It may be more rounded but she probably didnt rush this one as she did mine.  Its very close.

Can you post it?  It would make a perfect exemplar.

Not you, Steve.  If Steve can post his you will have an authentic in-person example to compare it to.

Well I hope this works!

Perfect.  Thanks Steve.  I'm sorry to say that in my opinion Mary's looks nothing like this.  I hope that she is able to authenticate her's to her satisfaction.

Yes, compared to that photo, I am afraid to say mine probably isn't real.  I "J" doesn't looks completely different.

Actually Jennifer is all over the place. I have not seen her make a 'J' in a long time.  A lot of her graphs are just a few circles and one time it was just one circle. I have several IP examples from earlier this year. I will post them later for you guys to compare once I am back in my office.

That would be great, thanks!
