Yes there w as his book and "Wingles Angels Deluxe Box"

Does anyone know if Barnes & Noble will be selling extra autographed copies of the book after the event is over?  Can an autographed copy of the book be purchased by telephone?  I have been able to do this in the past.

Mike...Barnes & Noble doesn't even know what they're doing.  I spoke with the store earlier today.

Here's my guess...and it's just a guess.

Jerry Lee Lewis is playing BB King's in NYC tonight...and then again on the 30th.  And he's got a new cd coming out on the 27th.  So it seems likely while he's in NYC, he's going to sign a bunch of books.

Meanwhile:

A print ad in the Village Voice this week says "a limited quantity of books pre-signed by Jerry Lee Lewis will be available for purchase AT THE EVENT (emphasis added).  Priority seating (for his Q & A with Rick Bragg on the 29th) with book purchase."

Now, I cannot believe they're going to wait until the time of the actual Q & A to sell the pre-signed books that enable priority seating (whatever that is).  That would be total chaos.

So I'm guessing that the books he pre-signs this week likely will be destined for the Union Square Barnes and Noble to go on on sale on Monday the 28th (the day the book is realeased).  Then you'll have to line up with your book and/or receipt to get into the event on the 29th.

Caveat:  That might make too much sense.

That actually makes a lot of sense.  Thanks for the deduction Sidney.  Good luck if you attempt to purchase an autographed copy of the book.  Please keep us posted.

If anyone is interested in JLL's actual music...here's a review of his show last night at BB's:

Seems like he's more limited physically.

Last time I saw him a few years ago he did about an hour and twenty minute set....including some of his old country favorites.

But still The Killer.

hope im still bashing the piano at 79 !!!

Here's the update on the Jerry Lee Lewis books.

I bought three signed copies at the Barnes & Noble about 10:30 this morning before they even had the books on display. No line...not even anyone else looking for the book. They opened a new box for me.

Now I have to come back tomorrow with a book and the receipt to get a wristband for the evening Q & A. Of course, they don't know whether the wristband means I'll definitely get in or if it just permits me to wait in line and see what happens.

As for the signature, it's signed on the title page in red ballpoint pen.  I'd post a photo but I don't have a scanner on my work computer.

I asked how many books had been signed.  They didn't know. All they could tell me was "a lot."  Apparently, there's no limit on how many someone can purchase. At least there wasn't an hour ago.  They didn't seem to know about telephone orders.

That's the latest from Barnes & Noble.

How much were the books? Can you take a picture with your phone and post it?

What address Barnes and Noble was he at? I'd like to order one.

2289 Broadway

555 5th Ave
New York, NY

Barnes & Noble...
33 E 17th St

It's the one in Union Square:

33 East 17th Street
New York, NY 10003

I was there this morning when it opened to get a wristband for tonight's Q & A. Doesn't seem to be a great demand. There were about half a dozen people waiting. But the event itself likely will be full...only 274 seats.

I'll try to upload a photo in a bit.

That would be great. Thanks. Did they just charge cover price?

Jerry Lee Lewis Signature in new book.

Supposedly only about 274 signed copies...enough to cover the expected attendance for Q & A. Probably about 50 fewer people turned out.

Very cool.
