Did we not agree that the JG Autographs example is authentic? Are the "Sincerely"s not in the same hand?

I never agreed to that.  And I have not really even looked at the one above…

Check back on page 31 of this discussion.

It has good examples of "Thanks" and "Sincerely".

It does.  Looks very nice...

AGREE

I'm not trying to trick anyone. I'm simply trying to back up my claim that "Sincerely" on the "By Request" LP is in the hand of JLL. So, is the JG Autographs example pictured above authentic or not? Are the two "Sincerely" inscriptions pictured above in the same hand or not?

IMO - No - the bottom one looks more like the By Request album.   And the JERRY in the bottom looks more like the By Request album.  The top does not.

Mark

The bottom one was signed in person in 2002.

You saw him sign it??

Mark

Did you see Whitten sign the pick guards? No, but you accepted that.

I had a lengthy correspondence with the person who obtained the signature in person. He had no reason to lie. None whatsoever. The photo was already sold and he had already received positive eBay feedback. He didn't even have to respond. The guy is a JLL fan and completely genuine.

I am just pointing out that you are going on HIS word is all.   I am no EXPERT what so ever.

Mark

As far as I'm concerned, his claim is backed up by authentic exemplars, including the JG Autographs example. In that sense, I'm not just going on his word.

FYI, I sent an image of the By Request signature and the black and white signed pic above to Mrs. Lewis. These each have the different "r" formation. I told her someone claimed to get the b&w signed in person and could she ask JLL if it is his signature. I hoped they could confirm if they were authentic or signed by a third party. He said it looks like his.
