It is truly a magnificent piece….

Interesting. Thank you for posting the letter.

I've NEVER cared for letters, as collectables. I have a few in my collection, but...unless it pertains to something they did (a letter to keyboardist Ray Manzarek about an album or something), that would be cool. Frank and Kathy were friends, but so what. Now...that being said, what I DO LIKE about it is, I've NEVER seen a letter from Jim up for sale. Anywhere.

Hi Josh,    The following hand written 5 page letter was also sold by RR for about $23,000.- in 2013. Jim wrote the letter to Dave Marsh of Creem Magazine in 71'.                  Jack...

Also is a postcard written by Jim to Max Fink from Paris. It is postmarked July 3, 1971.

                         Jack...

This 2 page letter was also written in June 71' to accountant Bob Greene.            Jack...

This may originally have been an eight-page letter. I read that the letter was previously auctioned in two lots, with the second lot containing the last three pages. The letter concludes with "I am not mad. I am interested in freedom. Good luck. JMorrison."

These are amazing items. I wonder how many of this type of item is out there. It always surprises me every time one of these gems hits the market after 40+ years.

I would love to own any one of these letters.
