Hello everyone! What can you tell about this autographed by Jimmy Page "Guitar World" magazine? My UK friend gave it to me as thanks for the favor and told, that he obtained this piece in person in 2005. I just don't know if I can believe him :) I'm not a collector, so I thought I coud sell it - how much could it be worth, if it's genuine? Thanks for your help!

Any ideas? :)

I like it. I have gotten Jimmy Page a couple of times in person and this is comparable to authentic examples. You may also want to check out the item from the same time period found here:

Of course, my disclaimer mantra is that if you haven't seen it signed personally you never know, but my money's on this one. If genuine, authentic Jimmy Page signatures will typically start at $100 and from there the sky's the limit. I hope this helps.

While I can't comment on authenticity, I will say that Jimmy Page is a rare signer and quite frankly a pain in the ass to get these days. I haven't been quoted on a Page autograph as of late for less than $600. More if on an album or nice photo. He sells his signature on his website for $1500-$2000, though on nice artwork. So Id say you could get 3-6 hundo for this. It all depends on how desperate someone is, because like I said Page autographs are pretty scarce. It does appear to be characteristically how he signs, but as far as saying either way, I reccommend asking Roger Epperson, for a small fee of $15 its worth it. Hope that helped.

Getting a Genesis Book with a Jimmy Page autograph for $600 is worth it. That's what this book cost when it came out about two years ago, and you can see what it's commanding now:

An authentic Page autograph is worth it no matter what. Autographs only on paper start low, but the nicer the item the more it will bring. The magazine you have is nice, especially because it appears to be authentic. If not, that's a scary forger. If the person who obtained it in person gives you a description of how they got it, it will help immensely. Provenance.

Here's an autograph from the book (his autobiography):

Thank you for your replies! The person who gave it to me is a big Led Zeppelin fan and collects LZ memorabilia, including autographs. That one was apparently obtained on the street in London, but I don't know the details, sorry... ;)

Selling it for $200 would be a fair offer?

200 would be an incredible steal, if youre looking to movie it fast, it will at that price. Could easily see a value  of 600 in this piece though.

I would personally get Roger's opinion on this item before i did anything. If real its worth more than 200 by at least double. But Page is one of those that can be faked fairly easy with some practice. This is a better than average fake if bad, but i would pay Roger to do a quick opinion to make sure before selling. Plus it will make a better selling point if you can say Roger is behind it.
