Thank you Judge, All i ask for is sensible discussion, My friend has nothing to do with the Autograph world, strange story true but not unbelievable, I have spoken to friends in the music business and they say it is entirely possible. why would he make up a story when he could have just told me he obtained it at a Gig? so much more believable but not the truth. I personally 100% believe he believes his story. I will obviously be getting a professional opinion and a proper inspection of the album by experts in the field. thank you all for opinions.

Judge has admitted he knows little and Tim had gone from bad to good to possible I guess. That leaves just you thinking it is might be good. Why not address the ink Tim mentioned and then things I showed?

And to compare stories: I have met Tom Petty several times over the past 10 years through a friend in the Heartbreakers, including the night of his last show at the Bowl. Guess how many times I asked him to autograph "Damn The Torpedo's" or a picture with the guy? NEVER. I wouldn't embarrass myself or my friend.

John Bohnom signing albums for $5 in a pub at the height of his fame? If you say it 5 times, you'll see just how stupid it sounds.

Funny, this discussion was started over a month ago

Malcolm, have you made any progress on your end yet?

Some darn funny replies by my good friend Mr Fudd haha there are 2 jokes in that statement

OK... let's move away from the ridiculous story and focus on the ink.
The signature is wrong.
And specifically one letter in particular.
I'm not going to tell you which one, but John Bonham did not sign this. It just doesn't match with authentic sigs.

My Song "still" Remains the Same..... 100% Fake

Here's one said to be signed by JB at a fundraiser and certed by Tracks and pre-certed by REAL

If I were to be non skeptical, I encourage you (Malcolm) to focus on the poster because it does have the specific trait I was talking about. They are 2 different sigs and makes it very strange if signed back to back or on the same day.

The market value of these does warrant a $15 quick opinion by Roger Epperson. $30 if he looks at both items. If real, they are worth a few thousand.

I'm not changing my opinion, but I am giving you other avenues to explore.

BTW... the comparable item is no longer listed on Greig Macarthur's website... strange occurrance.

Also... it has been proven many times that the "story" can be important in the authentication process.

I have tried. Would prefer a flat high res scan. It is not the clearest snapshot but suggests some oddness, hesitation/stop/start. What do you guys see?

After spending a lot more time comparing these to known authentic examples my opinion is that I remain skeptical.
Especially the LP and the story. The poster has some good traits. But if one is real then they both must be real if we buy into this far fetched story.

So I remain in my original decision... Fake until proven otherwise.
And yes Eric... I also see hesitation/stop/start which is not something we'd see from a crowded situation. And why has no one on the planet heard of this story. Surely we would have seen several examples on the market within the last 40 years with this very same story. But we haven't!!!

Hi ERic

Having kittens laughing at some of the comments :-). Adding Flat photos & close up photo. Of course i can only go on his story however likely / unlikely it may seem. i will get a professional opinion of course in due time.

Appears a lot of unsure start and stop - not smooth.
