A few months ago Tracks published on Ebay two unique autographs for sale on the same day. The first was John Lennon and the second Paul McCartney. Both autographs were signed by no other than George Harrison! Yes, they were signed in the hand of George! A true rarity! After 3-4 days and after both autographs had already had a few bids from different bidders, for some unknown reason Tracks decided to end the auctions early! (On the day Tracks ended early the two auctions the price of Lennon was much higher than the McCartney one). I was so disappointed because I wanted to bid and try to win at least one of them. I hoped that Tracks would list it again someday, so I continued following their new listings.
After a month Tracks published it again on ebay, but this time they listed only the Lennon autograph. I didn't know at that point what happened to the McCartney autograph. I already had autographs of Paul and Ringo and I knew that autographs of John and George are very expensive, so I thought it was a good opportunity to get a Lennon autograph in George handwriting in a much lower price. I decided that I would try and win it. In the end I did win the auction for only 105.49 GBP! A very low price I think. After two weeks Tracks published on Ebay the McCartney autograph again. I thought that if Lennon ended only for 105.49 GBP then McCartney would end even lower (after all, the Lennon one should be worth much more than the McCartney one). It was a big surprise for me when the McCartney autograph ended for 295.99 GBP! (I didn't win it). Almost 3 times more than the Lennon autograph! I wondered how could that be. It wasn't reasonable. I decided to check it and I found a big difference between the titles and descriptions of both autographs.
Please note that in the McCartney autograph the word "Autograph" is mentioned in the title, while in the Lennon autograph this important word is simply missing from the title! On McCartney auction page in the item description the word "autograph" is mentioned, while on Lennon auction page in the item description only "handwriting" is mentioned. That's why Lennon ended so low while McCartney ended very high. Here is the COA that I got from Tracks for the Lennon autograph:
In the COA they do use the words "Signature" and "Autograph" as you can see.Above is a picture of the autograph, the COA and the a nice photo of John and George together framed behind a UV glass and hangs on the wall in my home. I think I made a great deal: I bought an autograph of John Lennon in the hand of George Harrison that supposed to be worth 400-500 GBP in only 105.49 GBP! Not bad, eh?

Dear Paul, it was indeed a win win situation! I was very lucky.
Can anyone tell from what year this autograph is? It must be from the 60's, but what year exactly? I asked Tracks, but they didn't reply... Maybe they don't know.... interesting what is the story behind these two autographs in George hand? Tracks, not like Perry Cox, very often doesn't give any details about autographs in their COA. Perry Cox always indicates the year or range of years for the autograph to be signed. Tracks can learn a lot from Perry Cox and Frank Caiazzo about how to prepare and write down a COA.
It's hard to tell if it's from '63 or '64. He would sometimes sign on behalf of the other three. They were probably cut from a full set in his hand.
