Wow, I didn't think of that.  I guess I assumed "guarantee" meant for life...the devil is in the details !!

Sometimes literally! ;)

Hey thanks. Well the coa would be from the auction house. They said they dont have any backstory to the autograph but they independently verified its authenticity and would provide the buyer with a COA. I dont know the details of that coa yet. I am still waiting for the quick opinion of roger epperson but if he varifies it as genuine and you guys think it might be as well i will bid for it.

I'm not keen on this Lennon.

+1 Agreed.

Apart from looking like a print or copy as Rogers noted, and the COA stuff, this has "that look" I speak of - nice condition, undedicated, uninscribed, nice little frameable loose cut. And no provenance to boot.

Can you name the auction house? There may be pertinent data online now at their site. Have you asked to see this COA?

I can not determine live ink from that scan. From the information presented in this thread I would pass on this item.

Was it through AuctionZip Live? Why won't you reveal the auction house? Every time I message you you sign out.

It is - lot 842 est $600-$800 Alexander Historical Auctions.

Lot 842 Lennon

Yes it is. Sorry i am new here and i didnt get any private message from you or i just didnt realize i got one. I am on my phone and i got that site open the whole time but dont check on it. So what you think?

"8. All autograph material in this sale is guaranteed genuine for the life of the original purchaser (unless otherwise stated or if contrary to other provisions of these terms). Any autograph item sold which is determined to be not authentic by two independent authenticators acceptable to both parties to the sale may be returned by the original buyer at any time for an immediate refund of the purchase price (only). Non-autograph items are guaranteed genuine for a period of twenty-one (21) days of receipt. If determined to be not authentic by two independent dealers or authenticators acceptable to both parties to the sale within the twenty-one (21) day period the item may be returned for a refund of the purchase price only. Some items are sold as-is and will be declared as such in the description. There is no return for items sold as-is under any circumstance."

That's OK. I understand.Opening at $300. I can not even see if it is live ink from the image they show, yet they say the image may be juiced to make the sale. I'd pass from what has been shown here. Did you ask for the COA? I posted the terms.
