ok its a steal

I saw it right after it was posted here. I don't think it's real, even though it looks very close to me.

I didn't know it was offered at Gotta Have It. The owner, Ed Kosinski, is friends with Frank Caiazzo, and most of the Beatles autographs that aren't inexpensive come with Frank's LOA. If they're offering one without Frank's LOA, I can usually tell why.

Thanks, Steve. Yeah, it seemed too good to be true at that low bid price, and with the lack of a COA, I held off on bidding.

Good job!

Lennon did the "Helping Hands" benefit for Philadelphia radio station WFIL in May 1975...the album is signed on a UK "Hard Day's Night" album...just wondering how many people in the Philly area had the British album on hand to have Lennon sign in May 1975...Maybe an import? They were not common in May 1975...

Maybe, but I ran this by the wfil guy and he showed me the only laminated cover imports he knows of that were signed at wfil. He said the ink pigment looks different. The others red ink had an orangish tint from oxidation. He also said the others that had wear or tear on the ink correlating to the wear and tear of the laminate on their cover. This one has wear to the cover, but the ink sits atop the wear and doesn't correlate. The other signed copies had ink that was cracked and separated where the laminate has wear.

I had the same thoughts. The ink signature looks fresher than the actual cover considering it’s 51 years old if signed in 1975?
