I have an autographed photo of John Wayne that I received when I was very young around 1975. I wrote to Mr. Wayne and included a picture of myself. A few months later I received the photo below that was autographed "Good Luck, John Wayne".

My question is if the autograph is authentic? or possibly a secretarial?. I don't think it is an auto pen.  I did some research and have seen the same photo being sold as a reprint but the signature looks a little different. Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm not an expert and John Wayne isn't my greatest autograph strength. But it doesn't look like the secretarials or pre-prints I've heard of and since it came through the mail, ruling out forgery, it looks good to me, like a solid John Wayne signature. Let's see what others around here have to say.
You should do your homework and do another signature study like you did with Tony Curtis.  that was really well done.  I still can't tell which were his secretary and which were him.  She or he got it pretty darn close.

My only comment is to say that's an awesome photo/autograph if it is legit

Good luck :)
