Is it signed with fountain pen.

After looking around for a little bit, and my feeling that these have "that look" (fresh, undedicated, flawless, no apparent age/very strong ink etc), albeit from the blurry image, I would avoid them w/o further information from what is shown here. They don't look natural from here. They both look strangely something like this apparently authentic set online:

They visited in the 1950s, so does the paper smell slightly musty. Does it look aged?

My fist concern was the brightness. Any slight fading?

When you adjust the OP's for angle, it appears the same hand. All of the "a"'s can be overlaid perfectly, the "e"'s, and the loops and slants align...

Hello Eric, thank you for your time. I'm based in the UK so only just woken up! The signed item is currently for sale on eBay uk. The plus point is the fact that based on a Google search, they did stay in this hotel in 1952, but I have reservations  re it's condition and also the Stan signature. It's crossed my mind that someone has obtained a quantity of the hotel notepads at some stage. For info Eric it's being sold by an antique shop and is currently £103. Best Wishes John

Hello John,

You are welcome. Yes, I know they stayed there in 1952 - that is why I linked it. Lugosi was also over there around this time as well. The things I have shown would eliminate any chance of my bidding on such a thing. The price is another indicator of problems. The whole presentation seems to scream problem. How do you interpret and explain the image overlay I prepared and the relevant observations?

Wow that's impressive Eric. Never realised. Will steer well clear. Many thanks for your help

Most welcome :)

Hello Michael, thank you for your time.  This is currently on sale on eBay uk. You are correct, they visited uk in March/April 1952 and performed in Hanley which is a stones throw away from the hotel on this paper. Furthermore I believe they stayed in this hotel while there. However I have reservations being no fading and I ain't 100% on stan's signature. It's crossed my mind that someone has got access to a number of hotel notepads!!
