I purchased this Led Zeppelin I with frame from American Royal Arts a few years ago.  Just wanted to get some feedback regarding it's authenticity.

ARA provided me with forensic proof that it is real.

YEp--tyhe FRAMED and matted things seem to be 100% fake..intended for people who have no idea what is real and are probably buying it (with blind faith) for a friend or relative...it's too bad. They also have very fuzzy scans (no cluse ups) and no information whatesover on where anything was signed. Stay away from 'framed" lps.
I was alive and well in 73 and remember every color of pen imaginable available. They were not the Sharpies of today, but they were reliable enough to have items signed in (and nicely) if fairly new and unused.
The reason you do not see Zeppelin, Stones, Beatle members, Hendrix, etc. framed is because if they are real they are in a collector/investors collections and are not displayed for the world to see. I know other private collectors like myself that do not like ANYONE to see what is in the portfolio. People with large collections also do not want their items framed because of space issues. Authentic cut signatures or signed cards/pages are a different story and are often matted or framed because there is no other way to house these items into one cohesive piece. It also maximizes the value rather than having 5 loose signatures of a given musical group.

Anybody here get Page in the last decade? I have made many failed attempts but have never been able to meet him. I made an enormous mistake once in 98 and could have met him, but I don't want to rehash the agony of that story at the moment.

Met Plant several times and have several very nice signed items from him. The second time, I got what I believe to be one of the ultimate Plant autographs ever (Post Zep of course). Because of the rare pic he signed, and the very rare inscription he included regarding the photo. My signature from him this past Jan. turned out better than the two from the 90's I have. That's miraculous in itself! Some of my very most prized possessions for sure.

I can not die without meeting Jimmy Page and Steve Perry. Those are two that I just can't seem to get to. Major hero's in my life.

Anyways...

How about posting your Plants?
Honetsly I have NOT and I have seen him 4 times..he RAN into the hotel the last 2 times and the last time i saw him when he came in for the AHmut Ergtegan Funeral he also RAN into the Central Park bothouse and RAN out..no graphs..back at the hotel he ran in again..NADA...I dont think Page is signing..unless you run into truly by accident at a non event....good kuck..he rately leaves the moat and castle lol
A scanner is not needed, just a digital camera photo or cell phone photo. it may be a tough thing for us old farts to figure out, but i'm sure it's second nature to you younger sect of collectors. Particulary, the signature obtained last week.
Hey Steve, off topic, but are those ebay listings the only way to get any back issues of the magazine? Are those the only ones left?

To Mike, WOW is right! What are the chances I'd post that and you'd be on here?!

Does Steve still own your building? I know he's fairly 'out of the loop' these days, but I always here kooky stories about him being spotted at a game or a show or some fans got a picture with him right next to the Journey star on the walk of fame when he came back alone to have a personal moment with it on his birthday.

So he's hard to find, but evidently is very cool if he's out and about and you're lucky enough to see him.

Was he cool the times you were around him?

Wow, nice! Perfect signatures. Plus it was pretty cool that you chose that rare Japanese soundtrack album. Really sweet items, thanks for sharing.

My meeting Steve would be far more to me than just the autograph, but I do have the inner sleeve to Escape signed by everyone else in the band, so I would be completing the 'classic' line up and that would be huge in itself.

Thanks again! You got me wound up over Steve all over again.

Yeah, I don't live in L.A. either, I don't even live in California, but I do get out there every couple years. Sounds like he ran his apartments pretty well. Cool that they even helped find you another place too.
Steve Perry was recording at Capitol Studios earlier in the year. I know a couple of guys that flew in from out of town to get him during recording. They said he was nice the first day, but got extremely ill with them the next day when they followed him into the valley (which is understandable). My only in person experience with him was 3 or 4 years ago at his offices on Wilshire. He would not pose for a photo, but signed the items I had for him. I have never had any of the other members of Journey say anything good about him. Word is the record is finished, so you may see him doing some promotional dates if it is ever released.
