A fountain pen cut is one of the most likely forms along with album pages. Here is a genuine example of a Bandit photo with the incredibly rare inscription "How sweet it is!":

I prostate myself in your study of Gleason. My fountain pen signature cut is probably very early……if real…something I purchased 30 years ago…….In the future, I will submit it for your inspection.
