This is John Kirkpatrick's BEAUTIFUL in person John Lennon autograph from September 7, 1979.
This is quite simply one of the very best LATE IN LIFE era Lennon autographs that I've been aware of for a while during my time studying, collecting, selling & consigning Beatles related item & now its up for sale. It's placement and overall execution you couldn't ask for anything better from the quick paced flow that defined Lennon's signature.
What makes this example in particular so great is that it was signed to an individual with the same first name as John, meaning it being inscribed "TO JOHN" in Lennon's hand is like having 2 Lennon autographs in 1!!!
No COA, but I guarantee it should pass any of those other dreadful beatles autograph TPA services.
I strictly deal & specialize in solo era Lennon, & when it comes to his autograph I only trust 2 sets of eyes, mine & Frank Caiazzo's, but sadly Frank has ceased authentication services for those other than select auction houses and LONG TERM customers/close friends.

I wonder why Lennon sometimes started his "J" with a small lead-in stroke to the right in his later years. It doesn't seem like a natural pen movement for a right-hander to make. In the OP there is also a lead-in stroke in the "l" of love but this time to the left. Odd. I'm not suggesting that the OP isn't real, just curious.
P.S. I also have a Lennon with the same lead-in to the right but that one has been deemed to be dodgy by AL members - and I think rightly so.
