Thanks, but another tmstor (Townsend) that will be over-abundant, or will arrive unsigned (and then you have to pay the return shipping cost !). An easy pass for me...

Ordered from them many times, never had an issue! Luck of the draw I guess.

So did I but in the last months (post-Covid actually), their service declined. Whereas before, in case of issued (unsigned item, etc.), it was easy to solve with them, it has become impossible.

I had 3 cases early this year of "forced" unsigned items sent to me (i.e. you get a mail saying the signed print is not available, but that they are going to send you the unsigned LP anyway, and you get it even if you asked them not to !!), The 3 cases were Johnny Marr, Soft Cell and Central Lee (those cases have been discussed here...).

Central Lee was less than 6 months so PayPal decided in my favor and refunded me, but the other orders were old and I had to keep the unsigned stuff...

Of course, they will tell you you can ship back everything, but you have to pay the return shipping costs (why ? I got unsigned stuff when I ordered signed items !). Except that I am not in the UK, and the shipping cost is almost the value of the LP...

Besides, the more I asked, the less polite they were (they even replied I should not insult them when I wrote that sending unsigned items instead of signed without previous agreement of the buyer is a fraud !!!).

I am buying a lot (2-3 items per day, from basically everywhere) and, of course, I had issues with nearly everybody but was able to sort it out in the end.

Over the last 3-4 years, the only individual sellers (band official stores) I had issues with are Tom Tom Club (the Dutch shop), Chrissie Hynde (and her autopen LPs, also discussed here...), Crysta Bell, Tiffany and the Fall of Eve. So only 5 cases, hardly 0,1% of my purchases, which is OK...

And the only "professional" seller I had unsolved issues with was Townsend (even Universal was more reactive !).

But when I have time, I will put all the mails I received from Townsend in a thread, and you'll be able to see for yourself what I mean !

In any case, my advice if you buy from them: use PayPal, and cancel if the order is getting close to 6 months (after 6 months, PayPal will not refund).
