Mantle forgery?

This was on a local auction site and comes with a JSA auction letter. I really do not like the M's on this one, but I am far from an expert. Thoughts?

This all really shows me I am looking for the wrong things. I would have called this one a bad forgery due to the shakyness. I have a lot to learn.

the "ink drop" at the start of the first M in Mickey is a good thing and the perfect meeting of the 1/2 moon M in Mantle with a dot is very good. The shortened c pointing up like that is good. Not to be confused with the forgeries that go strait up. The real shortened c has a certain look when he did that. The slight flick from M to a in Mantle is good, not to be confused with a cartoonish upward motion in the forgeries. The pointy n, the angles of the "tle", have this ball actually about a 9 of 10 in my book. The spotted raccoon look detracts however. This is about a $200-275 ball, IMHO

I thought I would add some education and stop the insults (Not exactly) for the holidays...that is until the next Boob stops by to say his forgery is "Real cause he's had it for 20 years and it comes with COA.-blah blah blah" Maybe if that dumba** Blayne Shell would have asked "why" instead of taking the a**** point on his pathetic forgery I could have told him that the ball he sold had NONE of these characteristics. But dummies want to stay stupid and not learn a thing.

sounds like my daughter. Going to Pharmacy school, but is dumb as a mud fence in the common sense department. Gets that from her Mother LOL. Put her brain in a pigeon and it'll fly backwards.

BTW, these hap hazard insults I use are really terms of endearment. I don't call anyone anything I personally haven't been called by my best of friends. I deserve it a lot.

It's how we react to our own stupidity to seek out the answers that elude us. Some people don't get it and never will and that's sad. This forum is a snapshot of society and as I get older, it seems to just irritate me more. Especially when my own kids do it. It's the New Normal.
