Like Taylor Swift in April, Mariah Carey is pushing hard for the #1 spot on the Hot 100 this year now with a 48 hour release of a $5 signed All I Want For Christmas Is You CD single.

She barely signs them just a squiggle

For seven bucks, Ill roll the dice, lol

Her xmas album should be banned

I actually dont mind Mariah’s Christmas tunes - I actually like the single being offered here, but hey, to each his own.

Just a shame nobody at her record company were a bit more switched on and got these CD singles / Inserts /Sleeves made and Signed Months ago - so she could sign at her leisure..... at $5.00 a pop they will sell by the Tens  of thousands..... poor Mariah will never want to write again.... and we would have them for Christmas and Not April / May  2020 ....

This is pretty much a last minute effort to secure the #1 spot on the Hot 100 chart. Artists have recently started to do this towards the end of the week when they’re close to topping the chart (she’s currently #3) and anything sold before Friday will count towards the next weeks chart. It’s a pretty quick and easy way for them to chart higher.

Similarly, Camila Cabello has added a high number of signed items to her store trying to get more sales for the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Ahh right, out of interest roughly on average how many cd copies of the single would need to sell to get to No1? I'm in the UK

Same thing in the UK at the moment with 'The Who', CDs not yet signed, or in stock are being sold. The Specials did the same thing earlier in the year when it was neck and neck with their album and Busted's .It did work though . I wonder if any of the signed MC CDs will ever get dispatched after the #1 spot has been recorded.

Yes i was thinking the same, if the Mariah Carey or the Who CD's will indeed get signed.... particularly if they don't hit number 1!!!!

The Who CDs will be signed as £5 from each sale is going to charity.

Ahh, that's cool, I Didn't know, what charity?

Their charity Double O, supporting poverty.
