Hello there,

I bought this at an auction sale in Paris (I'm French), but I'm pretty in doubt with the authenticity... And I'm wondering about the history it could have... who wrote on the disc, who signed Marilyn... if it's her or not...

I am a huge fan of Marilyn since I'm 16 and was my dream to have an autograph but I'm scared...

Sent this message to the auction house... :

- the autograph strongly resembles those produced by Marilyn Monroe's secretariat;
- the record cover is from "Wilcox-Gay" and the vinyl record from "Hollywood Records": it is therefore not a set;
- the autograph is located on a cut-out paper part, the two holes of which have also been cut out (for what purpose?!) and which is not attached to anything. Worse: the title “seven year itch” does not correspond to the film which is supposedly on the vinyl which is “gentlemen prefer blondes”.

Could you help me please ?

Not MM, sorry.

OMG I'm so sad... Now I'll have to prove this.

Even the writing on the vinyl isn't from her ? I was told this as "double signature"...

No, nothing in MM's hand. The problems you listed are red flags. I'm glad you found this site. How much is asked for this poor forgery?

I'm wondering why you bought it with the discrepancies you knew of. How did you pay and when?

Actually I didnt knew…

It was an impulsive buy in an auction sale, I thought I could trust it because it is a famous auction house in Paris…

I received it 2 days ago and had a bad feeling… spent hours on the internet about MM writing… until I ve been admit here.

I bought it 1500€…

I've written Pauline for her comments.

What auction house? What are the terms?

Thank you for helping me and also asking Pauline…

I am desperate…

It is « Hotel  Drouot ». The terms : they wrote « exceptionnal piece  » and « double sign ». But I have to prove it’s a forgery… sent a message but it’s 2am here so I will not have a quickly answer… will call them tomorrow. :(

They have a website?
