Is this Marilyn Monroe autograph real?

Looks smudged, maybe traced too!?

Looks like it was done yesterday, far too fresh for me.

Agreed.  Looks like they did an amateurish job of trying to age it.

Ok, thanks so much guys!

Thanks for your detailed input on this.

Eddie, where did you get this? such a shame it is cut off - how bizarre? What an idiot, whoever did that.

It's freshness is the worst thing about it. The Marilyn is very good IMO. I am not worried about the travelling dot above the i, that looks like a backward 7, I have seen a lot of those. Marilyn did write with some sharp angles, like her jutting "r"s and her loops were pointed. The Monroe doesn't look speedy enough, that's its other flaw, but then again Marilyn regularly mucked up her signings with half a letter missing here and there. If anything the Monroe does seem to reveal that it was traced, yet the pen pressure and speed of the Marilyn is really great.

Its typical of how she signed in 1955, so if its copied, its from something written then. The loop from the bottom of the "kisses" cut off is missing. There should be a loop from the K and but its a simple stroke instead.

I have to say for a well written "Marilyn" the "a" is wrong, as in, if she was going to write Marilyn this well, she would have made some attempt to close the top of the a, but these are just two parallel lines, so quite suspect really. She did have the "a" like this sometimes, but always in a much more hurried, spikey example.

Yes, her Love and Kisses were always spelt correctly, that I have seen. She mucked up the K on occasion. I look for a tiny figure 8 which is an over twisted small "o" on the "To" as well, as a mark of her authentic hand-writing. Not visible here of course.

I must conclude this is fully fake.

I think this is the same forger.

1959 Signed Marilyn Monroe Cheque

Just $2k - a bargain!

Brand new seller. No description.

"New" - yes it is. Can't find any company called Matthews Sport Collectibles, who have provided the COA.

$7,500 for this?

A very fraudulent looking signature on a bogus document and people are making offers, which I notice are all declined, hopefully smart alecs offering $1 - this looks traced and there is blue smudgy rub outs around it.

Ebay Rare Signed Document signed by Marilyn Monroe - not in my opinion. The wording on the document seems bogus too.

Very perceptive William. Terrible typing too, any secretary would be ashamed of turning out a doc like this.

And that other cheque I pointed out earlier, sold for $2,875 but the seller has closed down now. Someone got stung or found out.
