There is an outside shot that they could be real, but both would be considered very rushed... and not very pretty.

The catch here is if either of them sign in a public venue, they both tend to personalize the items.

I wouldn't recommend either as individual sigs and both being on the same item....will always seem strange to people who know their autographs well. Even if they are authentic, they would be lousy samples to add to your collection and could never be considered a good investment.

Okay I see what you're saying they have had two other Frank Oz's autograph's and both of them are personalized to someone named Richard.

Here's one of them below.

It's from the same place Famous Memorabilia, I might be getting too suspicious of their stock and whatnot or overthinking  I've bought only 3 items from them so far and I've been told they are real. That Uma Thurman display I have, the Keira Knightley Display I showed you and a No Doubt Display I bought recently from them.

Also, they do use a display image for the item shown, so you could get the item shown or a signature placement. The last item I bought from them was a little different from the Display Image.

On their Ebay listings it says the following: Please note that where we are selling items from a collection of more than one similar item, such as signed football shirts, we will use an example image to illustrate the product. Due to the nature of hand signing, the size of the signature, its position and style on the display image may vary slightly from other products in the same series to.

Famous Memorabilia Signing Sessions

Famous Memorabilia regularly arranges private signing sessions with bands and sporting personalities, as well as stars and celebrities of screen and stage. These meetings allow Famous Memorabilia to assemble personally signed items that are documented and recorded under the watchful eyes of a  member of staff, who does actually witness the signings.

Close contact with the celebrities - Through our events business we are able to gain direct access to many of the icons of today’s world; this personal contact with the stars assures our customers that the items they buy from us are truly authentic.

I mean I'm not trying to say, there are defiantly fakes from this company but I really don't believe that every celebrity has signed for them. As a matter of fact there are some items on there that with the given timeframe, for instance they are in the UK and they have some PSA/DNA and OA certified stuff, now I'm not believing they sent an item into PSA/DNA and got it certified. But on their Ebay though it says this though : Every signed item we sell is genuinely hand-signed; our signatures are not prints. We take the authenticity of our items incredibly seriously; as such we deal with leading autograph organisations and hold our own private signing sessions. In addition to our own Certificate of Authenticity (COA) issued with each signed item, and for that extra peace of mind, we offer a third-party authentication service on premium memorabilia items. Please contact us for more details on this.

So maybe they did but I really don't know.

Frank Oz has had a very specific signature for decades. I am not sure how they managed to own some of the ugliest versions of that siognature......but I wouldn't own either of these.

I am not saying they are bad, as they do have good points that forgers never seem to get right, but they also have some really funky stuff going on there as well.

All I can say comfortably is these are not for me....and I don't know of any serious collector that would want them.

The main thing I was wondering is if you saw anything wrong with these statements and if it seems to be a reputable company to buy from still? I highly doubt that every seller/dealer on the market has a full stock of all good items. It does seem every item I've ask for opinions for, seems to be good though. One thing though I do find odd again, is recently they acquired new stock. Maybe they've had this stock for awhile and now are showing it? Because I don't think every star from their new stock went to the UK and did a signing with them or maybe this company goes to the US and does signings.I don't know. There are a couple more items I would like to buy from them and the displays they have are really nice.

I can't buy items based on displays. All I can say is ask about the pieces you like....no chance I am going to ever give a blanket statement that every item a  seller offers is 100% authentic and a nice sample of a celeb's autograph, without seeing each item.

Yeah, I'll just ask about each item before I buy. You've told me before you didn't see anything wrong with some of their displays they have that are in your wheel house of expertise. Thank you Pete for your time.

Pete, I found another that is from their recent new stock of items they have acquired. It's a Star Wars Display autographed by Carrie Fisher and Kenny Baker. The Kenny Baker looks okay to me but the Carrie I can't see the beginning of it. Your thoughts on this one?

Kenny is fine, and Carrie is part obscured in the dark are and a bit rushed, but also authentic.

We find ourselves once again in a situation where I would say, "why would you want that in your collection?" Unless you were in a position to have no other choices....then maybe you'd settle for it. I just do my best not to settle. Keep looking and you will find much better samples.

If you feel that you need to have a display that bashes you over the head saying that the signatures are authentic.....go for it......but remember the only reason that statement would be necessary on one of your items is if it has some real issues.

I'm one of those people that really likes nice displays and stuff. Getting stuff framed by someone is somewhat of a pain for me and I'd rather just have one already framed up and sent to me. Now I'm not a big Star Wars fan, I was just trying get some more type of info if you saw anything wrong with this place. I know I'm being a little too skeptical and whatnot but I'd rather pay for a real signature and not get burned and waste my money.  As far being a nice example of an Autograph and whatnot, I'm not a picky person at all. As long as it's authentic then I'm okay with it.

That part is entirely your call. I have always tried to be realistic, knowing that I am not going to be buried with my autographs....the pieces I choose tend to be the nicest samples I can get my hands on. Someday my family will have to sell them, and I would like them to get the most that they can and for them to end up with pieces that other collectors will hopefully want.

Sometimes a fancy frame is a seller's way of making up for a less than nice piece....other times the fancy frame is a selling point for a real piece of junk that a forger has signed.

I see fancy frame jobs and it's automatic....all I think about is all the forgeries sold in Las Vegas galleries. I am sure that isn't the case all of the time....but it certainly is a large percentage of the time, in my experience.

The Kenny Baker autograph is typical.  The Carrie Fisher autograph contains both atypical and typical characteristics.  I agree with Pete.  It is difficult to assess the Carrie Fisher autograph due to the poor contrast.

This Frank Oz autograph looks pretty typical to me.
