I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures' or 'Disney characters'.
Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.
Here are some current examples:

Not a drawing, but follows on from previous discussion of Rich Penn Auctions (15 May 21) on Liveauctioneers. This 'MJ signed Tee shirt' appears to have an interesting history, as it includes a previous COA from the UK:

Michael Jackson Personally Worn & Inscribed T-Shirt, white cotton-blend crew-neck shirt w/Neverland Ranch logo, prominently signed w/black marker pen "Love Michael Jackson" & additionally inscribed & signed "Thanx For All The Love Youre The Best 1998 000" w/arrow "Michael Jackson", VG cond w/slightly yellowed collar & wash-faded logo, 29"H x 20"W at shoulder.
This tee appears to have been previously sold by Juliens Auctions, as Lot 0231 on May 18th 2019, Link here: https://www.liveauctioneers.com/en-gb/item/71275010_michael-jackson...
These are the details of the tee as sold by Juliens in 2019:
https://www.liveauctioneers.com/en-gb/item/71275010_michael-jackson...
Lot 0231: A white Neverland T-shirt twice signed by Michael Jackson in black marker and additionally inscribed "Thanx [sic] for all the love youre [sic] the best 1998 [arrow] 2000."
There is a COA from 'Tracks Ltd' of Chorley, Lancashire, dated 8th January 2019.
A combined screenshot comparing the two tees is attached.
If the COA is still valid, it does appear that this company does offer a 'lifetime' guarantee'. (Lifetime sometimes means 'while in the original purchaser's possession'. Potential buyers would need to check if the COA is still available, relevant and valid).
It seems that the Japanese MJ collectables market has a similar problem. Here is a copy of a fake MJ drawing currently up for sale. It has a 'Frank Garo' COA. The starting price is 171,430 yen. (About $1,500).

Sad to see this red 'MJ-signed' Donald Duck at a reputable UK charity auction (charitystars in aid of the Peter Jones Foundation). I think the Foundation lead would be very disappointed with this donation.
Offered at a minimum bid of £3,500. Auction to take place on 26th April 21.

An original signed A4 sized sketch by Michael Jackson of Donald Duck. Item from 1999.

Donated by a Friend of Choose Love
The Peter Jones Foundation was founded in 2005 by entrepreneur and well-known business investor, Peter Jones CBE, and it provides young people and disadvantaged groups with the enterprise skills and experiences to better prepare them for successful employment or self-employment.
We work with young people of all ages in schools and colleges across the UK and increasingly abroad. We offer programmes that respond to the challenges young people face and aim to encourage, educate and empower students to grow and fulfil their potential.
The fact its for charity no one cares obviously about the authenticity...as long as it makes as much cash as possible...poor sucker who buys this won't be any the wiser obviously...shame :-/ Has anyone contacted Peter Jones??
This seems to be an international auction platform which supports a multiplicity of international charities. I imagine they trade on a 'buyer takes responsibility for doing their own checks' basis, as do most other online auction platforms. The site does confirm in its 'FAQs' that returns are not permitted, so hopefully anyone planning to spend £3,500 will do their due diligence.
The site indicates that sellers can select what proportion of the sale price is donated to the charity, and in this case '5%' is indicated (the minimum amount). It would be very sad to see charity platforms being used as a veil behind which sellers can hide sales of fake items.
I think that is whats happening to be honest Lizzie..they are using the charity as a veil to sell their fake items. I'll try contact Peter Jones direct and hopefully get this and other forgeries removed.
When you think you've seen it all...there's always something else :(
Seller 'mjcollectionuk' on ebay uk, selling an 'MJ-signed' male profile sketch with an 'MJ-Merchandising Ltd' COA. So many things wrong with this (sigh). Offered at £999.99 BIN. I really hope it IS 'one of a kind'.

MICHAEL JACKSON HAND SIGNED SKETCH AUTOGRAPH COA LOA NO PROMO
MICHAEL JACKSON HAND SIGNED SKETCH OF CHILD
COMES WITH LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY / COA from MJ merchandising. Beautiful item and a one of a kind.
MJ merchandising was a company put together by MJ and his business partner in the early 2000s. A few special items were developed by the team and a few signed pieces were sold to select fans and fan clubs. Items such as the gold history statue signed, the my world book and other limited signed items such as this. The letter / coa is how it was supplied.
I won’t be showing a full photo of the certificate with the text on it because I don’t want people to copy this and want to keep it exclusive for the buyer.
Don’t miss this.
The 'COA' reads (in the visible portions):
