Interesting. Ebay.com apparently have an 'authentication' process for trading cards over $250 in value (as well as watches, handbags, sneakers, streetwear and jewellery).
The description of the process doesn't mention an authentication process for autographs on signed items. Only the 'card' is subject to authentication. The wording says:
The description also says that 'your return policy will apply', indicating that if the seller has a 'no returns' policy, the item cannot be returned. If the seller has a 'returns' policy, the item has to be sent back to the authenticator, to ascertain the item is still in the same condition.

Even if this item had a genuine 'signature', it seems a huge amount to ask for an 'impersonal' , undated item without a full signature and provenance.
