On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

All three should be sued, MJ Estate, Branca did the foreword for Bush's book, that is authenticating it just by doing that, as the forgeries were in the book, then Juliens, and Bush.

Juliens are full of ISH!! They ALL saw me outside, i saw at least 8 members of staff, ladies dressed in black, I had a fog horn my voice traveled 800 ft, i was right outside their window, the woman you spoke to is nothing but a liar!!!!! Who can miss this

They closed the doors and blinds so customers could not see me, some customers used a underground car park then used a elevator to access the auction room, so did not see me out side, but they sure as hell heard me!! The only way to get through to these thieves is for Lady Gaga to slap a law suit in their faces!! Regardless Thomas please read the terms and conditions, you have rights,,, Darren is gonna make it hard for you, DONT GIVE UP! We didnt!

just a thought, has anyone contacted Lady Gaga , the guy who did the bidding for her or her business manger? Surely as a major bidder in this auction, she would be able to legal teams on this and make some big noise???

Moon i have contacted her agent, sent all the info to them Monday. Then sent updated info yesterday. Thank you

That is a great idea Team Michael. Do you or anyone else happen to know when the first contact was attempted with Lady Gaga or her people? I am curious, b/c it wouldnt surprise me if Julians warned some of its major bidders and clients that their would be MJ "crazies" trying to discredit the auction. Id bet that this has happened. But i guess the crazies in this case meant the ones fighting for the truth. With you guys protesting outside and the hype here, you have to wonder what Julians told its bidders about you guys outside and the negative press here. I imagine at the very least it was downplayed, but i imagine something specific was said to its members in attendance. I am curious as to what that might have been, if anything?

Another thing, has anyone that has been in contact with Julian received anything back saying anything negative about this site or its members (Steve Cyrkin, Roger Epperson in paticular)? By chance directing customers or information seekers to certain sites to read up on how bad this site is? Just curious.

Carl, My first email to them was Monday, day after the auction, then yesterday with updates of Bravado's emails. A word about the "Crazies"

UPDATE!

AFTER ARGUING BACK AND FORTH YESTERDAY...they kindly offered to relist my item in their jan auction hahahaha

i said no..obviously.

then they replied with this:

Michael Doyle forwarded to me your email correspondence below regarding the items you purchased from the recent auction held on December 2, 2012.

I am truly disheartened to hear that your faith in Julien’s Auctions has been shaken by what I can only characterize as misinformed and ill-motivated people without the requisite experience or expertise to speak on these issues.  I can assure you that Julien’s Auctions, at all times throughout its history, has always acted in good faith and with the utmost integrity in its auctions and the items sold therein.  And, we fully stand behind Michael Bush.

Having said that, I can assure you that our relationship with our clients – and your satisfaction with our service – is of the paramount importance to us.  Accordingly, we will be happy to cancel your purchase and fully refund your money.  We sincerely hope that this gesture will remove any concerns or issues you may have, particularly as to Julien’s Auctions, and that we will continue to enjoy a long and mutually beneficial relationship.

As always, if you should have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us.”

Thanks

I wonder if they have the Standee info.  I mean its not even about authenticators on that point.  If Bravado who sells the merchandise says its not possible to have been made before he died, then they are calling them misinformed and ill-motivated as well.  Hello!!   Who would know best if the merchandise was made before MJ died - other than the merchandise seller?

I'm not satisfied at all with the above.  I'm happy someone is getting their money back but that they have refused to acknowledge that there is a problem here is totally unacceptable.

I agree. Seems like they are co operating so as to make themselves not look bad. They can say- "see how nice we are. We will refund all that are not satisfied and want to listen to those crazy people." Trying to make themselves look like the good guys in the process when they know the truth.

Well done for the perseverance.  I am pleased for you.

Thomas can you please befriend Veronica and help her with her refund please, Juliens are completely ignoring her.. Thank you

I got a notification from FedEx today, so they have sent the jacket already :( guess it's to late for me to do anything now.
