On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

He "allegedly" said this to the MJJCollectors FB admins that it is a poster instead of a standee. My thoughts are that he is trying to make this a prototype, but as we know, the branding makes that impossible.

Michelle, At least that puts the "Prototype" excuse to rest,,

Maybe Darren didn't notice the diecuts on both sides below MJ's knees.

They actually do have an LA Gear Poster in the campaign, wonder if Darren is going to "mix it up" so that people get confused.  http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/lot/33861/

Which BTW has LAGear logo on it

Yes, and 1990, not 2009.

Right, I was just pointing it out.  He will be using the word poster to confuse imo - and there is one.  the teammj site has been thoroughly updated with this latest info as well as a standee already popped out of its background (from a site selling the 30+ dollar item) - and the die cuts go exactly where they are on the auction one.  Not to mention Michelle specifically asked if there was ANY possibility of a prototype and Bravados clearly replied NO.  He's screwed if he uses any excuse (Poster, prototype etc).  I kinda wish I was there to watch the questions being answered.... the more ppl lie the more info comes out. :)

Oh and I have been keeping after Bush on Twitter telling him that HE needs to be answering the questions and not sending Darren to clean up his mess.

And I've been retweeting you  :))

We need to have people asking about the poster which is shown in Lot 742 and then the standee lot 749.  I'm with out a doubt sure this is how they are going to try to confuse the masses.  So both must be brought up.

Michelle if your on their fb group can you please make sure to address the above note I wrote?  That we know there's a poster (lots 742)  BESIDES having a standee (Lot 749), so he can't whittle out of answering the standee question?
