On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

LO- F***ING -L

Go Steve!

Seriously, should tell him that you want to return the autograph under the guarantee because you believe that it is not genuine, and ask him which experts they would agree to use.

I Just left a message at Juliens, will call back again, im done playing games with these liars,, NEXT AUCTION I WILL BE OUTSIDE LETTING CUSTOMERS KNOW WHAT JULIENS ARE UP TO!!

That's our Leader.  You rest up.

I wonder who they will recommend? lol

Veronica,

That's the exact same message everyone's getting, from anyone at Julien's, including their attorney. They are not telling the truth that Laura Woolley has authenticated more Michael Jackson autographs than anyone in the industry. She doesn't claim to be an expert on Michael Jackson or his autographs, and in fact, she said she did not authenticate the ones in Tompkins & Bush. Laura says she's not an authenticator. She's an appraiser. Big difference.

Roger Epperson is the top expert on authenticating MJ's autographs. And a good friend of Darren Julien's, Ed Kosinski of Gotta Have It, is also an expert on Michael Jackson and he felt that both kinds of Tompkins & Bush forgeries we've called out were fake.

Well Mr. Doyle,

It is apparently you who is making "false allegations". Julians keeps using this Laura Wooley person as a back door. But every time they talk about her, they are distorting the truth and outright lying. Laura Wooley admitted to the news crews that she is ONLY AN APPRAISER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She does not authenticate autographs..PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!! And apparently she never has. She has worked with these major auction houses, but only as an appraiser. She is not an authenticator in any terms of the word and will tell anyone who asks this. Julians is making this woman out to be something that she is not, and by calling her an authenticator and stating that she has authenticated all these items is an outright lie, going by what she told the news.

Veronica keep going strong and keep demanding the refund. Many people are no doubt getting these emials. Tell them NO, and that you want your refund. They are going against their contract with you and they are breaking their word they gave on LIVE television. They are doing everything they can to keep your money but it wont work. As long as their are brave people like yourself out their than they will not win. Veronica and all MJ buyers, keep demanding the refunds. Call each other, share info, if worse comes to worse this matter will be handled in court and Julians doesnt want that to happen in my opinion. They stand to loose a ton and not only would they end up paying you your money back but also they would incur your court costs, and aggrevation fees. Threaten to take legal action and dont let up. Julians wants you to read this email and slowly fade away, but that isnt going to happen. The lid will be blown off this, their are too many people involved in my opinion.

Keep fighting Veronica and all the other buyers!! We are all behind you

Lady Gaga must have found out. It looks like she's having a heart attack.

lol :)

I agree. I think that everyone who deserves a refund will eventually get one.

The owner of Julien’s Auctions, Darren Julien, told the I-Team he believes the autographs he sold are genuine. "They come from someone who worked very closely with Michael Jackson … the people who made the items for Michael Jackson," Julien said.

The I-Team asked Julien to provide us with the names of any experts his auction used to authenticate the autographed items he sold for more than $1.5 million on Dec. 2. Julien told us to contact Laura Woolley, owner of The Collector’s Lab.

But Woolley told the I-Team she’s an appraiser of auction items, not an autograph authenticator. And she said one of the authenticators used by the I-Team, PSA/DNA, is reputable.

"I think they do great work," she said of PSA/DNA.

Woolley did say she’s looked at many of the autographed items in the Julien’s auction and thinks they’re genuine autographs. "I have no reason to doubt Michael Bush. The provenance of these signatures is solid," Woolley said.

Many autograph experts and buyers disagree, and are posting their comments on websites like Autograph Magazine Live.

Ha! Really?! What did you wait?
