On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

My credentials wont interest the FBI for authenticity--I hjave no contract with him signing many autgraphs to supporr onlt an OPINION wich is what I was ASKED for here and gave...but if asked to sign any affidavate that I have met MJ severa ltimes, I can prove where I saw him--many have. he satyed ar the same hotel in NYC almost every time.I examined many in person signed MJ graphs there and none of the ones for sale match or are similiar-I WILL. Just show me where to sign. Now did Dylan sign this? opinions>?

I can post my personal signed 8x10 Michale signed to me "to Dave, lveo michael jackson: at that hotel..he signed it inside the car-for me....he rearely came out of the car inside the garage thee but did ssign...also if you chased him around--he often igned as well. My singature matches ALL the other real ones posted here and looks notihng like the ones in that auction.

Of course- we all know they are fake. No matter what happens, WE know it. We can yell that till the cows come home and nothings going to happen. Like Mike and Steve have said, if we want to prove it we have to go about it in a professional manner. We know there are no signatures to compare like in the Bush auction. The authorities arent gonna listen to that. They dont know about such things. Bush and Juliens have already made excuses for why they look different. When you are going against BIG GUNS, you have no chance unless you can attack diligently with many weapons and slowly maybe we can conquer.

I honestly think Bravado is gonna put the hammer down on this.  I don't believe they will keep it quiet.  This infringed on their merchandise, adding value to it with fraudulent signatures.  From my understanding they are in talks with the Estate on this, so the Estate is very aware of what's been uncovered.  Now to see what happens.

We're stirring up the MJ Fan community now with the info, it won't be long that the Estate will be forced to put out a statement in regards to this.  Now, will it be a truthful statement?  We will all be waiting.

Thank you for the reply David, i think every little bit helps, from what you say i think its good enough, put it this way, it cant hurt,,

Bob Dylan, hmmm this on is for the experts on here,,
Interesting..
Dave what year was this signature from, if its 1990 or 1991, 1998 i would love to see it, as some sigs in the auction are dated from those years,

OH I beleive ity e99

I beleive my whole post cut off--I was at the MJ solo tour and the MJ MSG reunion with his brothers--I have a photo with Michaels' mother, signed Jacksons LP signed by all but one, candids I shot of Joe Jackson at the other hotel, I saw many MJ autographs in those years...sorry these autographs do not match on this auction...I was NOT one of those people who brought 20 11x14 photos for hi mto sign and can show 100 examples of his autograph--butr I SAW all those people with multiple autographs -and I saw the autographs--those look nothing like the ones here. When Icna I WILL post the 8c10 michael signed for me and the pic with his mo mand Joe jackson. Several other family members signed a program for me .

Sorry Dave i am clicking reply to you but its taking me to a new post,, yes i would love to see it, as would others,, the sigs i posted earlier are from 1990, and 91, i have one here from Wendy which is from 98, though all the ones on the auction are identical, as if someone sat down one boring afternoon and signed them all, hundreds of them, as least these will give us an idea what Mikes real sigs were like around those times

The pic with his mom I will dig up--the 8c10 I have boxed..and I a nursing a broken foot so cant dig open boxes--I will find it--but I will  also see if I kept a scan  of it..on line.I know I scanned the 8x10.i think its on a storage disc...i will see...also will look for the pic with his mom..  Ddid you meet MJ where?

ok thank you David, look forward to it,
Debbie, Wendy, Taaj:

You seem to have history, but this is not the place for it. Lets stick to the autographs for now...please.

This is my last time here tonight. Just keep posting examples and making your cases.

Thanks
