On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

There were two coats.  They were both spotted in the video, so that coat was taken down.  I thought it was quite good myself.

Taaj will be gone for a couple days.  So I'll try to keep the web up to date if we need to add anything or remove anything.

Can you post a screenshot of the two coats in the video?
I would like to see.
There is an impersonator of MJ in that video. I'm curious to see if its actually MJ weari the auctioned one.

it is at 2:28 in the video, its a half body shot, the center bottom triangle of divits match the auction divits.

I´m the buyer of item sale lot 1003 (see picture at page 140).

I´m actually sad today, because I´ve written to Darren Julien so many many times now (and before that some others in Julien´s Auctions house.) He has not answered one mail concerning refund. He wrote one mail in person where he said my autograph is geniune (he didn´t explain why). But when I´m writing about refund, he nor his staff, are answering me. I´ve never been treated so bad by a firm before, and I think it´s very unprofessionally to simply ignore a persons emails.

Art Pack will not just send some of my items. I´ve bought 4: two items in the previous auction, two in the Tompkins and Bush (including nb 1003).

So now I have to ask my bank to withdraw the money. I have to find out if I will try to withdraw the money before or after the shipping of the 4 items.

It´s so sad. There´s no cooperation at all. I have seen the NBC article, where Darren Julien promises to give the money back for those buyers who guestions the authenticity. It is not happening to me.

This is very upsetting. Even outside this scandal and his promise to NBC his terms and conditions clearly state that there is a procedure in place if the buyer doubts the authenticity of an item.

If you follow this discussion you will know that you're not the only one having problems. For some reason, one person was lucky and got their refund (or at least a personal response promising one), but as far as we know he's been the only one.

Please keep us updated.

Also, have a look at Steve's advice to Donald on the blog: There might be an attorney interested in taking up claims on a no win no fee basis (bottom of the page if you follow the link): http://live.autographmagazine.com/profiles/blogs/nbc-investigates-j...

Make sure you contact NBC4 and the FBI person named in the news article. They do not want the bad publicity, but if they are not doing what they said they would do - which is give refunds, do arbitration and are not being responsive, you must take it to a higher level. Contact Laura Eimiller at the FBI http://www.fbi.gov/losangeles/contacts/public-affairs-specialist-la... and also Joel Grover at NBC http://www.nbclosangeles.com/on-air/about-us/Joel_Grover.html, and also the US Attorney's Office, Fraud Section in Los Angeles, the press person is thom.mrozek@usdoj.gov

Also, Helen mentioned the lawyer who is taking cases for a class action. Do not give up.

I've written to him too with no answers. Yesterday I filled in the contact us form on their web page once again and said I want a refund. Still no answers. The jacket I bought has been delivered but I have not opened the package, it's still in the FedEx box. I don't understand why we're being ignored like this. :(
Veronica,

Definitely don't give up. Between your credit card company, arbitration and other things, you should get your refund.

I have had a question about this, real or fake?? Sold at Juliens on Dec 1st for $2176. thank you http://teammichaeljackson.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/lot111639.jpg

Love the ChildreM ???

Wendy its a fake, compare to the letters posted by Sandy and Justin, compare each letters,

Yeah, I'm not feeling it, T.   I'd like to do a comparison with 1 or 2 of Justin and Sandy's notes, if they would be okay with that.

Anyway, look at the open capital D's in "Adore" and "Children"..  and that R in "Adore".   I do not like that R one bit.

Then there's the bumps in Jackson - seems like they are too even.. and too MANY.

......But I don't know..
