On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

I came here tonight to wish everyone a Merry Christmas,, and I'm just floored with what I am seeing!  GREAT WORK to all researchers!

I agree with Sandy that I have not seen Michael print like this - even though it says To Dennis only.  I've never felt comfortable with that T in Thanx.  Clearly though the forgeries came from this one as a reference for the signature, at least.

"money pit", huh?  He just makes me sick.

It's Christmas, so I'm not going to be around much tonight or tomorrow. At least until evening California time. Email me if something urgent comes up. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Thanks for all the great work you're doing here.

Steve

Hope u hve fun Steve, to others on here, Juliens do not have rights to sell MJ images! this is a prop they used in April 09, im presuming after the settlement with MJ allowing them to exhibit MJ's belongings,  this is likeness/image of MJ they can NOT sell, so much for Branca being Estate Executor?? More freebies to his associates, they are all winners, only losers are Prince, Paris and Blanket http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/67/lot/25218/fr...

Unbelievable.  They outright state in item description "used in the memorabilia rooms of the Michael Jackson exhibition held in Beverly Hills in April 2009".  Julien's court settlement with Michael states exhibition only - no selling of name and likeness.

Branca.

Thanks, TM. And you too.

From the Sports Legends and Music Icons auction, a classic MJ secretarial signature with the tell-tale loop after the J.  Sold for $576.

With Julien's terms and conditions listed directly next the the item's description: "Julien's Auctions guarantees the authenticity of Attribution of property listed in the catalogue or online as stated in the Terms of Guarantee."

Wendy chck this out, Bush connection  and fake hats http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/michael-jackson-fake...

Hi T, good to hear from you.  I was contacted about this before but I guess I missed the Bush connection.  Let me read and absorb it all again..

This is simply staggering. The scale! How can that man not be behind bars?!?!

The emerging scale of Bush forgeries is just as bad. No wonder he stopped even trying to fake the autographs if he's been getting away with it for so long o.O. Shocking and saddening.

June 2012 Auction Lot 841 with suspect signatures

December 2012 Auction Lot 630 - so Michael ur, MLB signed two of these. Bush was so greedy.

Michelle whats the cat number?? TY
