On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.
Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.
Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.
If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/
Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.
Thanks for your help.

I see - so now we are splitting hairs;
what part of the response would not be a statement or position from Juliens? I took a crack to highlight a few...
When I emailed Darren about my concerns on Friday he said they were unquestionably genuine and from a source, Michael Bush, that didn't need the money, so there would be no reason for him to forge them.
We spoke on Saturday morning and he gave me more reasons why he was sure they were good, including that MJ would sometimes stay at Tompkins' and Bush's house and he signed for them when he was there. He said that many that we consider genuine were actually signed by Miko Brando, so those examples are off. The ones in the auction are the true ones.
When I emailed Darren Sunday and said I was going to post this discussion, he reiterated that I was wrong and was disappointed. He did not try to talk me out of it further, but I had made it clear that I had to do it.
Incidently, in this your 2nd post on the subject you claim that he gave me more reasons. However in both posts you only list one. Were there more reasons and if so why haven't they been listed?
Perhaps it would assist the needle in the haystack searchers.
since I don't think the questions will be answered and we can split hairs all day on this... but I have to head to the airport to pick up inbound family members...
This is the only "public statement" that matters at the moment; Hopefully, they have done due dilligence and if not the buyers are sure to be harrassed as a result, imo.
Michelle Jay,
DB is a long time member here, who thinks I'm a devious fool.
Perhaps since I should also post what you sent confidential or do you not perhaps understand the meaning of confidential? Manipulate your new pals but don't try it on me, doesn't work.
Although one question that you have yet to answer were all the reasons you were provided by Darren Julien which you claim were confidential. I also understand you have had conversations with the Jackson estate and supposedly they aren't interested. Maybe you could post the communication as well.
Oh, I forgot to add that if you feel it's confidential and I have no way of knowing if it is or not (unlike a recent matter in a different thread which was far from it as you well know) I tend to understand and while I may not like it as it might help others (+ or -), I typically, drop the inquest!
