On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

I am sorry these were the 2 images and the Thriller jacket was attached in TeamMichael777's last post.

I would have to say in my professional opinion the 'Thriller" jacket you have posted was signed by the same person that has signed this two photographs.

The Thriller jacket is not Mike's signature... and it's OUTRAGEOUS.

In the 2nd photo here, the "Michael" is ALL wrong and looks to me the same as our frenzied forger of the Julien's-Bush multitudes of fakes.  I wish I could see the whole photo because I see some difference in the ACK in Jackson in this 2nd photo compared to the 1st photo.  The "To"s in both look similar.  "Dennis" was one of my major problems with questioning the top photo.  When I got a larger image of it (attached again here) you can see how the 2 N's in the 1st are more rounded while in the 2nd example, the N's are not rounded.  And I agree on the "Love" in 1st example, it's sloppy and the V is not as I've seen him do it.  Also, the H in Bush looks different.  And the B in Bush appears to me to be more stiff and forced in the 2nd example.

What made me lean toward the top one being genuine is the "always".  That rings most true to me out of the whole example.  It wasn't a 100% for me.  I actually wouldn't have mentioned it but in your last post last night, you said you thought "There are some autographs that are authentic and some
that are questionable..."  And that made me wonder which examples from the Julien's-Bush catalog you thought were authentic.

Which brought me back to my thoughts about example number 1 above.

I'm not completely comfortable with it, but I do see some traits closer to MJ's traits than ANYTHING in the 2nd example.

P.S. - Never say never.  I said I'd not seen MJ write the word "always" beginning with a capital A.....  Well, I just have in the example here (on the right): http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=450583181645183&set=a.45...

YET he writes it the way I've preivously explained it here (thanks to Sandy Stadler) :

Are we for certain that the one on the right with the small writing is Michael Jackson's handwriting? It looks too neat and small. I think your reasoning about the small a and large A stick because I don't feel that is Michael's. I am no expert though.

yes by Michael Bush !!

it sold for 1.8 million and he didn't even design the Thriller jacket.

JUST SICKENING. and all for what.. because he has become accustomed to living a certain lifestyle from a high income and it's not there anymore.

SICK.

what on earth does it say under Dennis ? CHIMP picture

Justin, its supposed to say "Michael" then over to the right it says "Love" under that it says "Jackson" go figure!! Bush must have got tired

OK, so let's get back to the main purpose here: looking for examples of MJ's autograph that are similar to the ones in the Tompkins & Bush sale. Have any been presented here yet? Since these autographs often have a right slant, can anyone show us how often MJ signed that way? Has anyone witnessed him signing in a style similar to the ones in the auction?
I am sorry, I have been away from this discussion all night dealing with some really bad news.
My dear friend for over 35 years and champion Hector “Macho” Camacho is in critical condition after being shot last night in P.R. The reports are all over the place but he is alive but in very critical condition. At this time, the only thing that can be done is pray that he pulls threw. Please keep him in your thoughts today.
I'm sorry to hear about Macho, Mike. A lot of people are rooting for his recovery.

Mr Frost, Sorry to hear about your friend. Lv

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Sending out my thoughts and prayers for healing.

it seems that information from this thread is ending up in the knowledge of Julien's Auctions.. either they are reading it themselves or it's being forwarded.. since i have been blocked on facebook by Martin Nolan, Darren Julien and Michael Bush without them answering a single question.. i'm going to upload my autographs and personal notes.. to show GENUINE true examples of Michael's handwriting..

hopefully their SCAM will be exposed further.. hopefully this will help.. how much money do you need to live on.. isn't 1.8 million enough..  people die everyday because they have NOTHING!!! where is your conscience ??
