On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

Hello again Michael,

Here is another seemingly strange autograph by Michael, supposedly done in a hurry on a poster to Arnie Klein, Debbie and other stuff from Arnie's collection. It is 100% genuine.

Attachments: No photo uploads here

Yes! Both the writing and signature are indeed genuine Michael Jackson.  NOTHING seemingly strange or anomalous about it - that MJ's distinctive, clearly recognizable writing and sig.

That looks great to me, too, Debbie.

It may be sloppier but it is genuine. That is his handwriting. That is nothing close to what is on the Bush items.

Mj fan,
I am not at all against you, and I am not trying to be sarcastic when asking for your opinion with an explanation and examples. You have a valued opinion and I agree with you 1000% , it is just the way thing work when dealing with a major deal like this. Together if we all add educated discussions and facts with examples I think we can make something happen. It needs to be done professionally and without fighting and without getting angry at one another. You do not think that a major million dollar auction could be stopped unless they are showed proof from people that act professionally and give them valid explanations as to what is wrong here. Mj fan you are needed here but by yelling FAKE we would all just be wasting our time.

Agreed. I wasn't attacking or being sarcastic.

How does a completely new sig style appear overnight? That's the $10 million dollar question. And I'm not expecting you to answer that or know the answer. I'm just saying.

I wouldn't ask Mike Frost anything about Michael Jackson.  These are the only 2 Michael Jacksons that I find on eBay that have his cert.  What do you think of them MJ fan?

Monty is back,
We have gone over this before. I am sorry but I do not believe this is the time or place to try for revenge for exposing your in person autograph examples.
I have to defend my autograph authentication to Monty who in August posted this examples and I responded that they were not authentic and I believe they are done by either machine or copied in someway. They are so identical that I could not believe they were obtained in-person. So now I have to explain any item I have authenticated to Monty. I am sorry I had to waste time once again on this issue I have had with Monty.

I got Jackson many times inperson and they look nearly identical to the ones above.  Is this site now going after authentic Jacksons?

Monty,

I have not heard back from you on your Michael Jackson In-person experience. Can you please share some more information on the following 2 autographed photos that you posted. You can be a great help to this study and to 1000's of Michael Jackson fans that may have purchased bad material.

Mike I didn't know you thought these 2 Michael Jackson were 'not authentic!!!' Is that your professional opinion after studying MJ alllll night long?

I never said that I got these. I pulled them from RRAuction as an example to show that you are not so good at authentication.  Are you saying that RRAuction/Roger Epperson REAL are wrong on these.

LOVE these. especially the latter. nice shot of MJ taken in Vancouver.
