Mickey Mantle ball from the 1980s

Hi Everyone,

I inherited this signed ball along with some others and would like to dispose of them now. I am unsure about getting a COA as they can be expensive and I am completely new to this. 

Any opinions as to authenticity would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ooooooffffff, that's a baddy. Don't spend a plug Nickel on any form of Authentication. GFA might even turn that one down? If you could ever get a hold of them that is.

I'm seeing some faded pen or pencil under the sharpie (especially M in Mantle).  Either someone made a poor decision to try to make the signature look bold again or its just a real bad forgery.

+1  It looks as though it could have been authentic, faded from exposure, then gone over very slowly.
