Hi folks, thinking about buying this mantle bat and getting it authenticated. Coming from an elderly man, it's made out to him (Rudy), along with best wishes...wondering what you guys think? Sig looks great to me

I think the consensus you'll get is that signatures on bats are hard to be sure of, but this one looks good. If the provenance is real (i.e. obtained from the original owner) I would feel confident purchasing it.

I feel pretty comfortable about it, especially given the source

But you never know these days. And I am not an expert regarding mantles signature, was hoping it looked good
If you feel like this man is telling you the truth, then I think you're okay. The "Best Wishes" part I've seen before, and that looks good as well. I purchased a personalized Madonna from a man I felt I could trust, and I believed his story. Plus I feel I'm pretty good with Madonna autographs, so I bought it with no authentication. However, I did request a letter of provenance which he provided. Maybe you should do the same.
I think I will definitely have him provide a letter as well. I'm def going to send the bat in to get authenticated
