Thought I would share my experience with Mintych Authentics. This was my first experience of any kind with a private signing and I was very nervous, especially sending in items previously signed by Bill Murray and Harold Ramis. They agreed to let me drop it off in person in Palatine IL and pick it up when the signing was finished.

They are good honest people to deal with. They also post some interesting stuff to their Facebook page if you want to have a peak into how a business like this works behind the scenes. 

I spent over $700 for 3 items. One with a signature, inscription and character name. One with a signature and character name. And one with just a signature. The inscription was changed from "Listen, do you smell something?" To "Listen, you smell something" is did not want to include the word "do" and I was told it would be fine and as long as there was detailed notes with the item, it would be signed how I want. This turned out to be false. I don't know if this was a misunderstanding between me and Mintych, or between Mintych and Dan... In the end, it's something I should have been certain of when placing the order initially. I shouldn't have had to ask for the slight change to begin with and that's on me. It could have been Dan's decision anyways in the end. I also requested the character name Ray Stantz yet Dan still only wrote "Ray".. I honestly expected this however which was surely not a Mintych decision, but Dan.

Overall, I'm still extremely happy with the service and how everything was handled. Celebritys can be unpredictable. If you choose to use Mintych for other signings. I'd suggest make sure you are 100% certain of how you want items signed before placing your order so there are no changes that could cause a misunderstanding. Also, know your celebrity and their signing habits. Especially for Character names. If they usually only write a first name and you request a full name, don't be surprised if it comes back just a first name. 

I'm happy I got this done. There's no guarantee if ever meet him in person again, let alone be able to ask him for specific instructions and placement of the autograps. I'll add some photos below for anyone interested in how they turned out. Also, Mintych is a trustworthy private signing company. It seems that they do get a lot of messages asking what's going on with items, but they are responsive and try to accommodate everyone as best as they can. Signing can be delayed based on many factors. We are dealing with people's lives and travel itinerarys. Things happen unexpectedly every once in a while.
