I was wondering if there were any Crue Heads that might weigh in on the authenticity of this (possibly) Motley Crue signed Theatre of Pain.

Thanks

They are very rushed, but I think they stand a chance of being genuine.

Thanks Richard.

I agree, these might be real but Mick's and Nikki's autographs are very rushed. Bellow for comparision is my in person sigs I got earlier this month.

There are some similarities for sure.  Nice piece - thanks for sharing.

The great Nikki Sixx signature on Robert's album is definitely a one-off, his current common autograph is basically just "Sixx" or just "S...". He still uses the "N Sixx" variation occasionally, but the one in the OP just seems off (the sharp "S" especially).

The other autographs seem off to me as well, and for supposed "rushed" signatures the marker still seems to have kept up (with almost no streaking). Also, added extras like "FTW" and the drawn face don't seem to mix with the "rushed" signature theory.

I have a feeling I have seen this item somewhere before. There also seems to be some sort of dubious COA next to it.

Seems that prices of Crüe items have gone up since their last concert of the Final Tour. I've seen signed Final Tour programmes/tourbooks selling on eBay for $1500-1600 - quite astonishing price if you ask me! Especially since you will still have a chance to get most of them IP (Nikki's gonna tour extensively with Sixx:AM, Vince with his "solo" show)... Probably Mick Mars might be the hardest member to get now. Glad I got my vinyl signed IP a couple of weeks ago!

I ended up asking Roger Epperson's opinion on this and he said it was not authentic in his opinion.

Wah-wah-waaahhhh...

Now to try and get my money back :). Just an FYI, ebay won't do anything if you wait more than 30 days after delivery and seller won't back it up.  Trying PayPal now.

Who was the seller?

It was this guy:

http://www.ebay.com/usr/kixaxerock666

He has sold a number of Crue items that look similar to this one

bad fake . Not even close

i believe now on the e bay US site you get a year to return items listed under autographs however on e bay UK it is a month the same as all other items

Thank God ebay is realizing all these people trying to scam people and wreck the hobby for us
