We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

Sorry guys this thread p***** me off right now. I loved it to get notifications about signed itens and got reak good deals out of it. But ever since the discussiin started that we NEED a seperat discussiin thread everyone seems to feel the need to post even more uneccessary and uninformatial infos about his/her order that really noone cares about. I could give dozents of examples but I am sure everyone knows what I am speaking off. Really i don't wanna unfollow this thread but please everyone keep it to a info thread with maybe adding IMPORTEND infos such as beware it is autopen or something but PLEASE stop writing things like "thank you mate" "wish I would have ordered too" "great info ordered one too" really noone cares and noone wsnts to be notified. And Steve is there any way to handle this.

Start a new thread

Why don't you start the thread rather than complain, while bombarding people's notifications with all of this (which you hate in the first place)?

You complained not me... I like the discussion so I can hear feedback on what's good or bad without having to look through the entire forum every day to make sure I didnt miss the item I purchased was autopen or something. I'm sure if someone posts a deal they probably like hearing a thank you here and there... Its not that hard to look at an email for 2 seconds and see if it's an item for sale or discussion...

But since so many people complain then don't do anything about it... Here you go, I did it for you... Wasn't that hard... I dont care if it gets used or there is discussion here... The complaints are more annoying than the feedback on products that are purchased through this thread, which to me 100% relates to the thread.

Thank you! There's no like button on here. It's always nice to get a thank you or sold out or still available comment back to acknowledge that what you posted helped someone out. It's not that hard to see what someone posted through email notifications and it's just as easy to ignore a certain comment posted.

Agreed, I feel like its more of a community thing, helping out fellow collectors, and feels good to know you helped someone. I'm sure if nobody said, "got one, thanks" after awhile some people might figure theres no point in posting if nobody is paying attention or buying. Maybe then less stuff would get posted.

I also like to know if something I bought is fake, or if someone had problems with vendors posted so I don't waste my time. I dont even have to open the site, I just glance at the email and see if it applies to me. If so, I open the website. I dont see how its that hard. . And its usually easier to follow since its straight off the original product link post... I dont see how its that hard or that much of a bother. But made a separate thread in case people decide to use it.

Thank you mate!

Are you really so desperate to get a notification on a 50 dollar item.

Is it that hard to ignore and delete email notifications?

Well aren't you doing the same thing now? This complaint isn't on topic either

Take your own advice!

Yes. Because shutting up is what you want everyone else to do anyways

You could have made a new thread and asked people to use it instead of complaining and not doing anything. So I did it for you.
