We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

Just wondering if anyone was able to pick up one of the Brian WIlson books that B&N had for Black Friday. My local B&N was sold out by the time I could get there. The few that I see being offered on ebay appear to be stamped.

That's no good at all.

They had Brian Wilson? I thought it was Mike Love.
As I understand, Barnes and Noble sent them back due to the autopen/stamp issue.

Brian's books were briefly on the list and then removed a few days before Black Friday. As some have mentioned, store associates at BN stated that they were the autopen copies and were told to not put them out on shelves.

I know that a couple stores did indeed put them out and someone on RACC shared a photo of it. It was the autopen signature we have seen.

Thanks for the info. The salesperson I talked to at my local store said they did have the books but sold out. Maybe that person didn't know the details and the books were actually removed. They did have plenty of all the other books including a bunch of the Mike Love books.

"Stories for Ways & Means" hardcover book benefitting children's literacy. 100 editions are signed by authors Nick Cave, Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Devendra Banhart, Gary Numan, Del The Funky Homosapean, Anthony Lister, Kathleen Hanna, Dan Baldwin, John Vanderslice, and James Jean. $98. http://www.sfwam.org/buybook/hardcover-edition

Nice! But 500$ the signed edition...

Ugh, I looked at that wrong initially. A bit less appealing, though it is going toward a good cause.
