We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

What is this becoming? This is a topic about artists selling their autographs not an advertisement for some company selling crap.

Sorry Rock, I guess I should have been more clear.  Those names listed are names of artists who sell their own items.  I got that list from a facebook group (RACC) which has been actively adding a lot of new ones that aren't listed here.  My post was simply to see if anyone wanted me to bother copying the links that go directly to the artists page as it's a bit of extra work.  No individual seller is selling those items, they are all directly from the artists.  Hope that makes sense now.  I added the link to the group because I'm lazy and don't want to copy all those new links, (keep in mind Steve Cyrkin recommended in a previous post joining the group.  It's a pretty great one.)

I joined that FB group, and looked for this list, couldn't find it anywhere. What I did find was post after post, image after image, of guys selling autographs from all genres, not just music; this included Michaels company. It clogged up my FB newsfeed very quickly and I found it to be pretty annoying and worthless- not much relevant information being shared, much more like a sales site. I lasted a day and a half before the nonstop sales plugs became irritating. It might be fun for some, but for me, not so much.

If that FB page truly contains info on artists that sign and sell, and that info is not here in this thread, we'd appreciate you posting it here, rather than enticing us to a sales site-again, my opinion. Thank you!

You can use the search at the top right to search for 'presale' or 'preorder' on that facebook page or any of the names and it will bring up that post.  I'll be happy to post the links of the ones not listed when someone asks.  I'd say around 5% of posts are for sale items from various sellers.  If however you're friends with a couple guys in the group that are sellers, you're going to see all their posts, where as if you aren't, you'll get random feed updates, not everything.  There's really a TON of information for hobbyists.  As an example, currently the feed is as follows in this order:

2 auction items

A best photo with contest

Musicians Who Sell Their own Signatures

A list of celebrities who use VERO

A thank you to the group

4 few items for sale from one seller

A list of signers at the D23 Expo

Dick Tracy Success

List of Celebrities who use Vero List

4 Microphones for sale by 1 seller

Question about how Jackson Browne is in person to sign

Craziest stories about following a celebrity post.

and the list goes on.

I'm sorry, but you are clearly seeing a different FB page than I am when I follow your link. As of right now, 95% of the posts on that newsfeed is for sale items, one request for signed books, with posts from sellers that have books for sale and one question about Lee Greenwood. All I see is image after image of signed items people are selling, and virtually no information that would be helpful to an autograph collector.

Sure there are people selling on the FB page. But I have found valuable information on there as well and have made some great friends.  I am very glad I joined it.

Terry, this thread is about musicians who sell their own signatures.  If you'd like to message me your grievances privately, I'd be happy to address them.  In the mean time I'm sure people would appreciate some contributions to this thread.

You seem nice.

I've been a part of the RACC group for a month or so- it is truly great. Ive learned about signing habits, authenticity, it's really a great and fun group of collectors.

I love Autograph Live, RACC is better for me personally as there aren't 6000 discussions on New York Yankees autographs.

If you can't figure out what an authentic Dimaggio or Mantle looks like from reading 2 weeks of this site, you need professional help.

I digress- RACC is the freaking bomb.

I think Mr Kasmar was only trying to be helpful. I joined the Racc but will probably not post often. Some of the people I can tell are just too aggressive and all the bragging of getting an artist to sign as much as they can. It just seems all about the benjamins. I hope it might get better and there is some nice stuff for sale sometimes.

Ian's right, I posted the link to be helpful.  I'm super busy right now so when I can, I'll go in and filter out what I feel are links people would want to see here, but posting the link to RACC was simply allowing others to see for themselves and not just wait/rely on me.  Again, anyone is welcome to copy/paste the links from there to here.

Appreciate that, Michael, thank you!
